At Eastern Favourites Representation, every journey we take is a step forward in connecting destinations, cultures, and the global travel trade. Our recent German Agents Fam Trip to Uganda stands as another proud milestone — one that celebrates collaboration, community, and the growing strength of Uganda’s tourism story on the international stage.
The Cultural Origins and Development of Kampala, Uganda
The journey began in Kampala, where the group visited Ewaffe Cultural Village, a women- and family-led enterprise dedicated to community tourism and cultural preservation. Agents experienced the colorful traditions of the Buganda Kingdom through music, dance, and storytelling — a vivid introduction to Uganda’s inclusive and authentic tourism model that empowers local communities.
That evening, the agents attended a Networking Event at Ndere Cultural Centre, where they met with Ugandan DMCs, tourism officials, and government representatives. Amid energetic cultural performances, meaningful discussions focused on strengthening Uganda–Germany tourism ties, particularly in the promotion of cultural and community-based travel experiences.

Wildlife and Wonder in Murchison Falls
Heading north, the group stopped at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where they witnessed Uganda’s inspiring rhino conservation success story.

The journey continued into Murchison Falls National Park, where agents experienced a thrilling morning game drive, a relaxing boat cruise on the Nile, and a scenic hike to the Top of the Falls. Watching the Nile thunder through the gorge was a powerful reminder of Uganda’s natural splendor.
Unveiling Hoima's Future Potential
The next stop was Hoima, a region brimming with growth and potential. Here, agents explored the impressive progress of the new Hoima City Stadium, scheduled to open later this year and set to host matches during AFCON 2027. The visit showcased Uganda’s vision for progress — not only in sports infrastructure but in positioning itself as a destination ready for large-scale international events.

Agents were treated to an unforgettable cultural experience and lunch at Hoima Cultural Lodge, where local performers entertained the group with traditional songs and dances. An authentic taste of Hoima’s hospitality and cultural pride, leaving a lasting impression on all.

Primate Adventures in Kibale and Bwindi
The journey continued to Kibale National Park, where the group embarked on chimpanzee trekking followed by the Bigodi Wetland Walk, learning about biodiversity and community-led conservation.
Then came one of the trip’s most anticipated highlights — gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Trekking through the dense forest and standing face-to-face with a gorilla family was an awe-inspiring experience, underscoring Uganda’s unique place in global wildlife tourism. Afterward, agents enjoyed a coffee experience, connecting with local farmers and learning about Uganda’s strong coffee heritage.
Community and Connection
A visit to a community school brought moments of warmth and laughter, as agents shared gifts and smiles with children whose joy reflected the spirit of Uganda. Later, the Batwa community welcomed the group with their traditional music, storytelling, and dance — a moving cultural exchange that highlighted Uganda’s heritage and the power of tourism to preserve it.

Experiencing Uganda’s Hospitality
Throughout the journey, agents conducted inspections of some of Uganda’s top lodges and accommodations, gaining insights into the quality and variety of Uganda’s hospitality. From boutique eco-lodges to luxurious safari properties, the experiences reflected a tourism industry ready to meet international standards while remaining rooted in authenticity and sustainability.
Final Safari Moments in Lake Mburo National Park
The adventure concluded in Lake Mburo National Park, where a scenic afternoon game drive offered sightings of zebras, impalas, and Uganda’s picturesque savannah landscapes — a perfect farewell to a journey filled with discovery and inspiration.
A Step Forward for Ugandan Tourism
This Fam Trip went beyond exploration — it was a bridge of understanding and opportunity between Uganda and the German travel market. It strengthened partnerships, inspired new collaboration, and showcased Uganda as a destination defined by diversity, authenticity, and genuine warmth.
Looking Ahead
For Eastern Favourites Representation, this trip marks another milestone — a celebration of what’s possible when passion meets purpose in tourism. Uganda proved, once again, that it is more than a destination: it’s a living story of people, culture, and nature coming together in harmony.
The Pearl of Africa continues to shine — vibrant, welcoming, and full of promise. 💚✨
